Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 years as tight-ends in the National Football League. He is considered to be one of the top American tight ends of all time, he has the NFL record for the most receiving yards among all tight ends. He also ranks third all-time in the number of receptions.
Tony Gonzalez, former All-Pro tight-end with the Kansas City Chiefs as well as the Atlanta Falcons, is currently employed at the studio of FOX. Since the start of the 2017 NFL season began, Gonzalez has been a fixture in FOX NFL KICKOFF FOX's hour long NFL pregame show preceding FOX NFL Sunday, which airs every Sunday morning at 11:00 am ET throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez was signed to a contract to The Falcons with a two-year term and $14 million on March 15 2013. This was despite the fact that Gonzalez previously stated that he was planning to retire after the 2012 NFL football season. Randy Moss retired in 2013 as did Gonzalez, who was 37 at the time completed the year that ended his career in the position of being the NFL leader for receiving yards.
